Shane Millhouse is a qualified music producer (RMIT, 2008), audio editor and sound designer with over 20 years of experience both on stage and in the studio. Working with artists, creators and filmmakers, he has composed and produced electronic, orchestral, and hybrid-orchestral music for everything from sound-art installations to online video content.

Appearing on stage as an MC and DJ since 2001 under the alias “Crixus”, Shane has performed with world-renowned acts such as Atmosphere, MF DOOM, Chali 2na, Del tha Funkee Homosapien, and Hilltop Hoods. His stage show later evolved to include live production, beat-making and on-the-fly remixing at festivals such as Faux Mo (2015-16), Taste of Tasmania (2012-2015) and Fractangular Festival (2017).

Alongside scoring and composition work for independent films and documentaries such as Ryan Jasper’s Heroes of Peace (2015), Jacob Harris’ acclaimed short Three Poems (2013) and Jacob Harris & Agatha Partyka’s Summer Turns to Jacky Winter (2020), he has written, recorded and edited music for various online content creators, such as Flipside Japan’s Haikyo Duo series.

The past few years have seen him composing both exclusive and non-exclusive music for music libraries and licensing companies, editing audio for corporate video, creating generative sound synthesis systems and carrying out field recordings around Australia and Japan.
